Barney Beach Accommodation Center is the Gladstone region's only award winning waterfront park and accommodation centre. The Park is fully gated with key access and a convenience store and butcher are located opposite the property. Extra facilities located within the Park include a special needs bathroom, free swap library.
One of the best places to stay, these unique timber Mount Tamborine chalets perched on the western escarpment of Tamborine Mountain, in the green of the Gold Coast Hinterland, boast 180-degree views with stunning sunsets all year round. The only fully self contained cottages on Tamborine Mountain, the chalets feature sweeping cathedral ceilings and private balconies offering panoramic views of the Great Dividing Range to the West. By providing accommodation for missionaries, we play a vital role in caring for the missionary community in times when they require emergency and other medical treatment, families awaiting childbirth, needing respite or counseling due to a trauma suffered, school retreats, temporary accommodation when working, training or studying in the local area.

Kingfisher Park Birdwatchers Lodge consists of fully self-contained units, bunkhouse rooms and campground located in a rainforest nature reserve. It's an hour and a half drive north-west of Cairns and just 30min from Port Douglas in the rural community of Julatten at an altitude of 440m making it cooler than nearby coastal regions.
The Lodge is ideal for nature based activities such as bird watching and wildlife photography. It has walking tracks through five hectares (12 acres) of grounds consisting of rainforest, open grassed orchard and permanent waters of Bushy Creek.

Pencil Creek Cottages are located in Mapleton on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. They are fully contained having a kitchen, private deck, smart tv, log fire, airconditioning, spa bath and more, with one of our cottages being wheelchair friendly.
We are approximately 90 minutes drive from Brisbane CBD, so you can escape the congestion, noise and demands of the city without too much effort to enjoy what the Sunshine Coast Hinterland has to offer. A few of the attractions of this stunning area include The Blackall Range, forests with easy to challenging walking trails, and the interesting towns of Montville, Maleny, Eumundi, Yandina, Kenilworth, Noosa.
We have a main house with reception at the top of the property as you enter. The cottages are down a small road and have complete privacy.
The creek (Pencil Creek) is at the bottom of the property and has easy access and is worth exploring. All in all, the property covers approximately 12 acres. We have a small buggy if required. The terrain falls gently down to the creek.
Not too far away there are many wonderful hiking/walking trails. Mapleton Falls offers a scenic walk that is not too challenging, also there are a few trails closer to Mapleton centre that are worthy of investigation.
